The Judging Process

Here at C3 Autoworks, we are all about Quality over
Quantity.  It’s not just our motto, it’s what we stand for.  To
help ensure that the cars on this team uphold that high
standard, all cars have to pass our Judging Process.  Although
the standard is high, it is necessary to ensure that C3 is
known for only the very best there is to offer.

This process can be very confusing for some.  Who is to say
what’s good enough and what’s not.  Everybody is different
and looks at things through their eyes, and judges are no
different.  Most people build their car with a certain goal or
vision in mind, each one unique.  C3 Autoworks is never
opposed to new and original ideas, actually, we encourage
them.  You can’t stand out if you repeat what’s already been
done.

Here at C3, it’s not just all about the show aspect.  Cars are
built differently for a variety of purposes.  Although, every car
is unique, they all should be judged on similar principals.
Weather it’s a show, race, or sleeper the following stands
true.  Better name brand parts, cleaner installs, and an overall
theme or originality of your project will get you the points here
and every single one counts.

On judging day, the following will take place. You will be
present on time and ready to present yourself.  Your car will be
clean, since it’s a judging factor.  You will need to present an
updates modification list for reference.  There will be two
judges to score your car.  Take them through your build
explaining the modifications that are important to you and that
are commonly over looked.  Remember, one-off things are a
bonus.  After that the two judges will discuss and go over your
car and sheet further to determine what the final score will be.

The scores are based out of a perfect (and just about
impossible) 100 points.  There is an added bonus point
section.  This is for all those one-of-a-kind things that will help
bump your score.  The judge will also note his/her Initial and
Final Impressions on the vehicle to determine if the car looks
good on approach or has more than you though when you first
walked up.  If your car scores high enough or maintains a
special value to the team weather it be potential or that
uniqueness, you will be asked to join the team.  At which time
you will be asked to sign the contract making you an official
member of C3 Autoworks.

If you have any questions about the judging process, what it
takes to become an official member of C3, your score, or any
other related questions please ask Team President Brian
Houck.
